Expand Your Wings and Fly

As many other children in Spain, I spent a big part of my childhood at my grandparents house. Both of my parents worked and my grandparents were very involved in my care after school hours and whenever needed.

One of my first memories is drawing eagles and owls at my grandparents house in the suburbs of Barcelona. Drawing rapidly became an important part of my life. It is way of meditation, introspection, reflection and expression.

It might have been my grandfather’s liking of American Westerns and the fact he religiously watched Bonanza right after lunch that awoke my curiosity for other cultures and foreign places. Powerful bird species fascinated me because of their majesty, strength and freedom to explore.
